Children are enrolled in the program as openings occur. Parents or guardians may request an application form by emailing the administrator at jane@harmonymontessori.com
A typical enrollment includes the following steps:
1. Parents call the administrator to schedule time to visit the program and observe
2. Parents observe the program and receive an application form and other information about the program
3. Application form is returned
4. Harmony House notifies the family of the child’s acceptance into the program
5. Enrollment forms are due with the enrollment fee
6. Fees for the first week are due on or before the first day the child attends the program
A waiting list may be maintained. Children are placed on the list by date. Please realize that some one may be moved up on the waiting list if an opening occurs in a particular age group.
There is an eight-week probationary period for each child and their family. This time is for staff to be sure that this program will serve and meet the needs of the child and his/her family. This is also the time for the family to determine if this is the best program for their child.
Harmony House is a small inclusive preschool/day care center. Children are placed in the program according to several factors. Teachers meet to discuss each enrollment to ensure that we can meet an individual child’s needs, as well as the other children in our care.
“The needs of mankind are universal. Our means of meeting them create the richness and diversity of the planet. The Montessori child should come to relish the texture of that diversity.” Maria Montessori
